The Bureau of Land Management will host an open house on the Missoula Draft Resource Management Plan, from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 11, in James E. Todd Building Room 203 and 204 at the University of Montana.
The Draft Plan provides management for the 163,000 acres of surface lands administered by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) in western Montana. These public lands play an important role in the western Montana’s social, ecological and economic well-being. As stewards of these lands, the BLM has a responsibility to ensure that management is effectively meeting legal mandates and the needs of the communities in western Montana.
The open house will provide opportunity to learn how the plan recommendations may impact the use and enjoyment of BLM managed lands around Missoula.
